Boz Scaggs – Moments/Boz Scaggs & Band

First two Columbia Records albums from singer/songwriter and ex-Steve Miller Band member Boz Scaggs

These two records, from 1971, made the US Top 200, but it wasn’t until 1976’s ‘Silk Degrees’ that Scaggs realised the commercial success he richly deserved

Scaggs is still recording and occasionally gigging

After the hits ‘Hang On Sloopy’, ‘Fever’ and ‘C’mon Let’s Go’, the group left Bang Records to pursue a more rock-based sound

In the early ’70s most members, including Rick Derringer, joined Johnny Winter’s band. Derringer then went on to be part of Edgar Winter’s band before pursuing a successful solo career
